Civic Issues
Topics getting the most attention in Gloucester Township public meetings, ranked by how frequently they are discussed.
4 issues in general with high priority
Agreement with Aqua New Jersey
A resolution on the agenda would have the township sign a memorandum of agreement with water utility Aqua New Jersey. It wasn't taken up individually on the recording.
Parental Accountability Ordinance
Gloucester Township just passed a strict new ordinance that can send parents to jail if their kids repeatedly cause trouble. If you have kids in the area, you'll need to keep a close eye on how the town decides to enforce these rules.
Short-term Rentals
Gloucester Township is moving forward with a ban on short-term rentals like Airbnbs, which will totally change the game for local hosts and travelers. If this passes, you won't be able to book or list these properties anymore.
Municipal Office Closure
Gloucester Township is closing its municipal offices starting Monday, meaning you'll have to handle all city business online or over the phone instead of dropping in. It's a sudden shift, so make sure to get your paperwork sorted digitally.
