Top issues during term (5)(Environment)
Chronic flooding on Nevada Drive
Possible storm drain or catch basin work would be a future township expense — not yet priced.
Properties Up for Auction — Open Space and Flooding Concerns
The township is counting some auction revenue in this budget cycle, and the association says alternatives could achieve that without a third-party sale.
Flood insurance discounts and heavier storms
The discount saves flood-policy holders real money — average premiums run about $1,200 a year.
Open Space Land Exchange and Preservation
Funded by the open space trust fund and bonds, with a hoped-for 75% county grant coming back to the township — no new tax increase expected.
